PCYC NSW is a registered charity, whose mission is to empower young people to reach their potential through Police and community partnerships.

With over 66 clubs across the state, PCYC provides quality activities and programs in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

Our aim is to engage with and positively influence our 100,000+ youth members through mainstream sport, recreation, education, leadership and cultural programs.

PCYC Institute (ID 91340) is PCYC’s Registered Training Organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Part Time 12-week Maximum Term contract opportunity. PCYC Institute is looking for a reliable and passionate accredited trainer to deliver our Fit For Work program. The program is an initiative provided by the NSW Police Force as part of a suite of dedicated Rise Up courses to help youth stay on track, re- engage in education or find the pathway toward a future career. As a PCYC Institute trainer, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Act as a leader, support person and role model
  • Prepare and deliver training and assessments
  • Assist in organising guest speakers, work-placement, industry visits
  • Monitor student attendance and progress
  • Maintain student assessment files
  • Conduct assessment
  • Conduct assessment validation

ABOUT YOU

  • You have TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)? - Desirable
  • You have TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set - Desirable
  • Do you have experience in delivering material to disengaged youth?
  • Do you have excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills?
  • Do you have strong interpersonal skills, ability to show social and cultural sensitivity and flexibility to accommodate the needs of our students?
  • Do you have demonstrated ability to create, build and maintain strong relationships with young people?
  • Do you have exceptional leadership skills with a highly professional and flexible approach to learning?
  • Do you have the ability to adapt to diverse environments and manage multiple priorities?
  • Do you have a car? Note: some travel may be necessary eg visit work placement
  • Do you have industry currency and experience related to any of the below qualifications (desired and not essential): White Card; CPC20120 Certificate II in Construction; FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways; SIS20115 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation;
