The Role

An exciting opportunity to support the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to drive participation (individual and corporate) across the Events portfolio nationally location available Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

Reporting to the Events Marketing & Fundraising Manager, the Events Marketing Coordinator is one of two complementary roles responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to drive participation (individual and corporate) across the Events portfolio nationally. Working closely with the Fundraising Coordinators, working proactively to ensure a quality supporter experience, increased participation and higher retention, higher corporate support (participation, sponsorship, inter-industry competition and matched giving) and other initiatives including supporting volunteering recruitment to grow net income across the Events portfolio. 

They will also contribute to leveraging the Events portfolio, to build the life-time value of the supporter base for Oxfam Australia.

This position plays an important role in ensuring that all Oxfam’s fundraising events positively and accurately reflect the work, values and vision of Oxfam Australia.

A little about you

(The key selection criteria)

  • Experience of event fundraising or community fundraising and fundraising strategies, tactics, practices, techniques and trends.
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing / communication plans and campaigns
  • Experience in developing and implementing social media and online community development strategies
  • Knowledge of overseas aid and community development issues (desirable)
  • Proven success in developing and building strategic relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • High levels of computer literacy particularly MS Office and experience working with marketing software
