The Senior Digital Clinical Content Writer will draw on their own clinical experience (ideally with young people) and training to plan evidence-based digital therapy journeys, and craft the engaging, empirically supported digital content, intended to empower and support Orygen Digitals young people to overcome mental ill-health challenges.

Reporting to the Clinical Content Manager you will:

  • Map and plan digital therapy journeys based on empirically supported psychological models which explicitly target mechanisms of change. Therapy journeys will address a diverse range of youth mental health issues and upcoming projects will need to adhere to given timelines (set by Clinical Content Manager and Head of Content).
  • Lead the development, writing, design and execution of the content development process by developing initial drafts of engaging clinical content (activities) informed by an evidence-based framework to address specific youth mental health concerns (priorities set by Clinical Content Manager and Head of Content).
  • Provide line management and mentorship for members of the Content Team and provide day-to-day support in the review process of content written by other clinical and creative writers and edited by content editors.
  • Support content team members to design, create and execute engaging modes of therapy content (e.g., audio, audio-visual) to given project timelines.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (preferably postgraduate or working towards postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology).
  • Clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults to address mental health issues (this will inform content development)
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of literature surrounding psychological interventions for, or mechanisms underpinning, common mental health conditions (in youth) and their application.
  • Ability to see larger picture and make connections as to how treatment strategies, engaging youth-focused content and writing for the digital context work together.

  • Salary package between $95,000 - $105,000 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 11% super + NFP salary packaging up to $15,900.

This is a part-time (0.6FTE) contract until 30 June 2024.
