The Policy Analyst is responsible for researching and developing policy advice on key issues associated with youth mental health and the need for early intervention. This advice will inform policymaking within government and the youth mental health sector.
Reporting to the Manager, Policy you will:

  • Identify policy issues, service and sector contexts and relevant evidence.
  • Draft advice, brief and reports.
  • Identify and engage experts and key stakeholders to inform your work.
  • Support the wider objectives of the Government Relations and Policy group.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Political Sciences, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Understand the policy process within government.
  • Identify and comprehend relevant evidence and data.
  • Experience liaising with experts and stakeholders.
  • Ability to write well in a range of formats.
  • Work independently and respond constructively to feedback.
