About the job

As the Global Fellowship Program Manager, you will oversee the expansion of the Orygen Global Fellowship Program into the Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring effective implementation and governance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Lead the expansion of the Fellowship program, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, managing budgets, timelines, risks, and reporting requirements.
  • Operations & Governance: Oversee the program’s infrastructure, including governance, technology, policies, and subcontractor arrangements, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with funders, governments, and global partners, supporting policy initiatives and securing future funding opportunities.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise staff, provide mentorship, manage contracts, and ensure seamless collaboration across teams and external partners.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Oversee data collection and analysis to assess program impact and drive continuous improvements

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification in health or social sciences.
  • Experience in global youth mental health and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets, contracts, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and digital competency.
  • Understanding of youth engagement principles and global mental health needs.

This is a 0.8-1 FTE, 24-month contract role.
