This role will see you immersed in our region’s community services, leading a range of strategic projects and supporting Council programs, initiatives and events that address the unique needs of our community. We’re looking for an experienced project officer who is a highly skilled collaborator, holds exceptional organisation and time management skills and the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders.
Your project management skillset will see you:
- Undertake a range of strategic projects, initiatives and activities within the Community Services department to deliver positive and sustainable community outcomes.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, building and strengthening relationships through active engagement within the Barossa community.
- Effectively undertake end-to-end project management, ensuring communication and maintenance of efficient workflow processes throughout projects.
- Apply a lens of continuous improvement to programs, initiatives and projects within the Community Services department ensuring best practice methodologies are utilised.
To be successful you will need:
- Previous experience in the delivery of community development/community wellbeing programs, projects and initiatives.
- Exceptional networking and interpersonal skills including the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience in initiating and developing new programs, including the creation of processes and frameworks, promoting adaptability and innovation.
- Knowledge and understanding of the different areas within community development and community services.
- High level public speaking and engagement skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for the community sector and well-being initiatives.
