In the recovery work after the 2009 Bushfires, Nexus recognised the value of the Theraplay® approach. As a result, we have worked to become the Australasian home of Theraplay®.
We now have a new and exciting position available for a Theraplay® Practitioner to join our team on a flexible 0.8 FTE basis.
The role involves operating as a Theraplay® practitioner working with victim-survivors of Family Violence and is a key contact for practitioners implementing Theraplay® into their practice.
You are qualified in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work. Ideally, you will have Certification as a Theraplay® Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer with experience in group facilitation, however, we will also consider applicants who can demonstrate their capability to grow in this area. You have a sensitive approach to working with individuals and a philosophy of empowerment with extensive generalist counselling experience
The role is based at our Broadford/Seymour sites plus Outreach. For a period of time, you are also likely to be working from home.
