Court Network is an independent, not-for-profit organisation operating for the past 40 years in Queensland and Victoria. Court Network recruits and trains community volunteers to stand beside and empower people attending court via the provision of non-legal support, information, referral and advocacy. Court Network also provides Telephone and On-line Support Services to deliver information, referral and support before, during and after Court. Court users include those who are accused, applicants, victims, family/friends and witnesses.
Our priority is to engage with vulnerable court users experiencing significant barriers understanding the justice system and/or find their court attendance very challenging. Court Network also works collaboratively with Court Stakeholders and agencies to better identify and respond to family violence matters in Courts.

The Hume Coordinator is responsible for establishing and supporting Court Network volunteers across Hume regional courts. Coordinators also represent Court Network within this region promoting services and developing referral pathways for court users. The Hume Coordinator as member of a small team, supports telephone and online service operations and undertakes service development projects as required.
The Program Coordinator position will have flexibility in scheduling hours of work across the week provided both service and organisational requirements are met. This requires the position to work each business day over a four-week period. Salary will be negotiable based on qualifications, skills and experience. Superannuation is paid and salary packaging is available. This is an initially a 12-month role, but the intent is to create a permanent position subject to the confirmation of ongoing funding.
