We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Media and Communications Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for heightening and increasing the profile of NSWALC and the Land Rights Network by enhancing partnerships and brand awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in developing strategies to foster and improve awareness of Land Rights, NSWALC and the needs and aspirations of Aboriginal people in NSW within the broader community as well as with stakeholders.
- Coordinate NSWALC partnerships development, management, and evaluation with a focus on delivering high-quality relationships and greater brand awareness
- Assist in the development of business strategies, including marketing initiatives for engagement opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support existing and planned business activities, and design marketing collateral and promotional material to increase brand awareness.
- Liaise with NSWALC teams around the development of external communications to promote NSWALC
- Project manage and oversee key stakeholder events and marketing activities and attend events as required, managing deadlines and deliverables on time and within budget
- Act in accordance with NSWALC people policies and procedures, including WHS obligations at all times applying high standards of probity and ethical behaviour.

Essential requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of the cultural practices, values, and cultural, social and economic needs of Aboriginal people in today's society.
- Demonstrated background in branding and implementation and ed.
- Appropriate qualification and experience in relationship management, event management, community engagement or in a relevant field
- Outstanding written communication skills including preparation of formal proposals, reports, and correspondence
- Experience in coordinating and developing marketing collateral and promotional products
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results, use initiative and work independently.
- High-level organisational skills, the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects to achieve required results
- A passion for creativity and innovation.
- Integrity and commitment to Ethical Practice, Equity, Diversity and Occupational Health and Safety.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 and the LALC Network.
