about the role

The Project Support Officer will assist the NDIS Job Matching Service team to deliver the key performance indicators and outcomes of the project.

This position requires a quick learner, dedicated to achieving team outcomes and someone who takes a solutions-focused and flexible approach to their work while supporting the Team to meet their contractual requirements and obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational – Provides executive support and coordination of meetings, workshops, forums, events, and webinars.
  • People – Collects and distributes key information to stakeholders, supports the Team with project data management requirements and other administrative tasks, attends NDS and relevant meetings to support the Team manage relationships, acts as a reliable central point for receiving and referring queries to Team members.
  • Strategic – Ability to work in a flexible environment, moving between and prioritising tasks as they arise, meets deadlines as required, facilitates information exchange between Team members and stakeholders as requested and leads the promotion of job vacancies through existing distribution channels.
  • Promptly support Team members in undertaking administrative tasks.
  • Participate as a cooperative Team member.
  • Assist Team members to action reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Collects and collates information for reporting requirements.
  • Assist with payments of invoices and budgetary follow up activities.
  • Build the skills and capabilities of self and assist Team members through learning and development activities
  • Contribute to the achievement of the NDS strategy through participation in special initiatives and programs

Other Responsibilities (applicable for all NDS employees):

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by manager/supervisor from time to time
  • Comply with NDS’s policies and procedures at all times, including (but not limited to) HR, Quality, Work Health & Safety (WHS), IT, Security, and Data Privacy
  • Demonstrate the NDS values of respect, teamwork & collaboration, leadership, innovation and accountability in all interactions

Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced customer service orientation, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • High level collaboration and teamwork capability.
  • High level of competency with the MS Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • Resilient and adaptable to change course of action as needed.
