An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated person to work for Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation (Narang Bir-rong). Narang Bir-rong provides Family Support Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families in Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Northern Sydney/Eastern Sydney/Sydney and connected communities, as well as Out of Home Care placements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people who cannot remain at home due to abuse and/or neglect.

Narang Bir-rong has a number of Casework Assistant roles available in the Family Preservation Program. The role is full-time (35hrs) and roles are based at our Penrith offices within the Western Sydney area. A Family Preservation Casework Assistant role works in the Northern Sydney/Eastern Sydney/Sydney area.

Tasks & responsibilities

The role will ensure high quality support is provided to the Family Preservation Casework Team. The program aims to prevent family breakdown through the provision of culturally appropriate support and to keep Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from entering Out of Home Care.
