The National Ageing Research Institute (NARI) is an independent, non-profit, medical research organisation recognised internationally as a centre of excellence in ageing research and knowledge translation. We are seeking a Principal or Senior Research Fellow for the position of Aged Care Research Program Director to lead and further develop a program of high quality, independent research, education and consultancies in the area of aged care research. The Program Director will be part of the senior management team, alongside the Directors of Clinical and Social Gerontology and the Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC) and will contribute to the overall profile and development of the Institute.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, high level understanding of the academic and research environment, expertise in aged care and health services policy, experience and expertise in relevant program management. He or she will have a background in a clinical discipline (medicine, nursing, allied health, psychology or social work) and high level quantitative data analysis expertise.
