NAPCAN is seeking a team player who is able to work collaboratively in a geographically diverse team, a self motivated, fun and respectful individual to be our next Trainer. This talented person will get to deliver our much sought after Love Bites program and must be able to deliver the full suite of NAPCAN training programs.

This is a Full-time 12 month temporary contract position, with possibility for extension. Ideally our candidates will live in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, but other locations with access to a well serviced airport will be considered.

MAIN DUTIES and responsibilities

The Trainer role is to enhance the individual skills and capabilities of those who work with children and young people. This is achieved through the design and delivery of comprehensive training programs which align with the mission, vision and strategic priorities of NAPCAN.

By providing engaging and effective learning experiences, the Trainer contributes to the professional development and success of external participants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the organisation. This contributes to creating a safe and healthy environment for children and young people.

CRITICAL DELIVERABLES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver training programs in line with contracts, scheduling or fee for service as directed by Supervisor in both an online environment as well as across Australia
  • Undertake regular travel, including interstate and to regional and remote communities
  • Advanced written and programming skills to contribute to adaptations of the training packages that would reflect best practices
  • Contribute to reports, newsletters, funding acquittals as required in relation to training initiatives
  • Demonstrate a commitment to remaining informed on issues that are relevant to the prevention of child abuse and neglect

Salary

  • Generous salary packaging options to reduce your taxable income - tax free amount of up to $15,900 p.a (mortgage, rent, or credit cards) and a further $2,650 p.a (meal, entertainment expenses and holiday accommodation).
  • Salary packaging reduces your taxable income, meaning you pay less tax.
  • Base Salary $80K plus Super - open to negotiation depending on skills and experience.
