NAATI is the national standards and certifying authority for translators and interpreters in Australia. It is the only organisation to issue certification to practitioners who wish to work in this profession in Australia.

NAATI certification provides quality assurance and confidence to consumers who rely on translator and interpreter services to participate effectively in our society. It also gives credibility to agencies that engage certified practitioners.
The Certification Policy and Development Team oversee a number of core functions and projects within NAATI. Staff within this teamwork across Design, Development and Training, Certification Test Material Production, Intercultural and Ethical Competency Training and Testing, Certification Policy and Research Development and the Indigenous Interpreting Project.
The Development & Training Officer will work as part of a team responsible for supporting the improvement of NAATI's testing, assessment, and developing certification materials that meet NAATI standards. The role will also support the design of NAATI's test format and the validity and reliability of testing and assessment procedures.

Work conditions and salary are based on the NAATI Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024.
Salary will be within the range of $84K to $90K plus super and dependent on experience.
