Music in Exile is a not-for-profit record label and artist services company that champions Australian musicians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience of displacement and diaspora.
Our organisation is founded on an ‘artist-first’ principle, working closely with individual artists to achieve their goals according to their own vision, and to establish viable and sustainable careers in the industry. It is our experience that there are many individuals living and working in Australia that do not receive equal opportunity to share their stories or to practise as artists, and by supporting these individuals we aim to create an industry that more accurately reflects the many voices of our community.
We are seeking a full time Digital Marketing Manager to oversee all aspects of Digital Marketing across our various projects.
As a record label and artist services company, we regularly develop and execute Digital Marketing Campaigns for new music releases, music touring and live performances, artist merchandise releases and audience growth campaigns.
As a not-for-profit, we seek to grow our audience, increasing awareness about our mission and charitable purpose and securing customer first-party-data to allow ongoing engagement with audiences. After a period of growing audience reach, MIE will seek to convert audiences into supporters, either by donating/subscribing directly, purchasing merchandise, attending live events, or purchasing music releases.
It is expected that you will work closely with our team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, in some cases managing relationships with third party stakeholders (external publicists, content creators) and reporting on each campaign's impact & results.
We've seen the research that women and other people in underrepresented groups tend to only apply when they tick all of the role requirement boxes. If you don’t tick all these boxes, please don’t rule yourself out. If you are excited about this role, we would love to hear from you!
