About the role

This role is a hands-on role which will require you to ensure the health and safety of our client and staff members are at the forefront of everything we do here at MultiLink. Together we help in challenging boundaries.

As a Support Worker, you'll play an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. This will include but not limited to professionally assisting clients with community access, movement, domestic duties, mealtime support, bedtime support, medication administration and support with personal care.

This is a casual opportunity, which will require you to travel between clients.

We are looking for Support Workers who are reliable and flexible to work varied shifts from Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 5:00pm.

We also offer limited weekend work for those who are interested to work during the weekends.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support and associated medication assistance modules completed (or willing to obtain through an accredited RTO).
  • Applicants who speak Spanish or Bosnian-Croatian-Montenegrin-Serbian will be highly regarded.
  • Experience assisting with all personal care requirements.
  • To be comfortable and confident to operate manual handling equipment.
  • Experience as a Support Worker will be highly regarded.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills that support successful outcomes.

You will also need to possess the following:

  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR, or willing to obtain one.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Disability Services (Yellow Card Exemption).
  • Blue Card.
  • National Police Check (undertaken within the last 2 years).
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (or approved exemption).
  • Possession of a current "C" class Drivers Licence is essential, with a good driving record.
  • Own vehicle with Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance.
  • Evidence of your right to work in Australia.

How much will I be paid?

You will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (level 3). There are additional penalty rates for weekends and public holidays.
