Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) is a consortium of 27 world-leading academic, government, industry and NGO institutions. The RISE team includes more than 170 researchers and practitioners from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, including ecology, biology, medicine, engineering, urban design, science, community development, and social science disciplines.

Bring your extensive project management skills and experience to the RISE team and manage projects from conception to final delivery, drawing on current project management methodologies. As the Construction Project Manager you will support existing RISE team members in Fiji, Indonesia and Melbourne with the implementation of the build components of RISE.
As a core part of the RISE team within MSDI, you will play a key role in project delivery. Your focus will be on providing contract management, procurement, administrative and design support during the delivery of civil works in Fiji and Indonesia. Your work will also have a strong emphasis on construction processes (safety, quality control, communication and reporting), Monash policies and operational procedures, project planning and mentoring is expected.
Success in this role will be aided by your close working relationships with the Deputy Director (Intervention) Build, Deputy Director (Intervention) Design and Engagement, Fiji Project Manager as well as project teams and communities in Indonesia and Fiji.
A key focus of the position is ensuring that construction processes are documented and procedures being implemented in accordance with Monash policies and project planning documents.
The Construction Project Manager will be based in Melbourne but travel to Fiji and Indonesia is required for technical backstopping support, mentoring and troubleshooting.
