Speech Pathology at Monash Health covers the continuum and the life span. We have a large bed-based department across six hospital sites; Monash Medical Centre, the Victorian Heart Hospital, Kingston Centre, Dandenong, Moorabbin and Casey hospitals and teams of speech pathologists in community health, community rehabilitation, specialist clinics and mental health programs.

We currently have two outstanding positions for experienced and enthusiastic Grade 2 Clinicians based at:

  • Monash Medical CentreFull Time Temporary till August 2024
  • Victorian Heart Hospital – Full Time permanent, with opportunity to rotate to Monash Medical Centre

For both these positions, travel may be required across the five main hospital sites and community locations also enabling broader exposure to the wider Speech Pathology team.

A bit about this Role

As an integral part of the Speech Pathology senior team, you will work together with other seniors and the Speech Pathology management team to inspire and encourage our teams to provide excellent patient centred care. Based at Victorian Heart Hospital and Monash Medical Centre you will engage with key stakeholders to ensure speech pathology and allied health contribute to the continuing excellence of our service for the community we serve.

About You:

You’re a talented and accomplished Speech Pathologist who thrives working in a diverse, dynamic pathology team and leads by example. To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge.

  • Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in managing people with an emotionally intelligent approach
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership in Acute clinical care, including the ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of speech pathology staff
  • Expertise in acute care will be highly regarded
  • Credentialed to practice in areas of Videofluoroscopy, and Tracheostomy
  • Applications must include at least 3 professional referees, including a current line manager
