Speech Pathology at Monash Health covers the continuum and the life span. We have a large adult bed based department across five hospital sites; Monash Medical Centre, Kingston Centre, Dandenong, Moorabbin and Casey hospitals and teams of speech pathologists in community health, community rehabilitation, clinics and mental health programs.

GEM@Home Program

The GEM@Home Program is a new program for Monash Health and involves delivering care to clients in the home as part of a team of nursing, medical, pharmacy and allied health clinicians. The Speech Pathologist will work closely with all team members to ensure that best practice client care is achieved while ensuring the achievement of operational effectiveness and strong partnerships within and outside of Monash Health.

This role is supported by the GEM@Home Nurse Unit Manager, Allied Health Team Leader, and Senior Speech Pathologist in Community Rehabilitation.

About You

You are a dynamic, experienced Speech Pathologist with a passion for assisting clients to live their best lives. You will provide a high standard of client assessment, treatment and coordination of services to patients, to facilitate safe, effective, and person-centred care in the client’s home environment.

You can also demonstrate:

  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude to your work, compassion and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team
  • Motivation to be accountable for and manage specific portfolios in our relentless pursuit of excellence

What You Need:

  • Relevant Speech Pathology qualification
  • Eligible for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • All candidates require Australian working rights
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
