Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities. We are proud to provide healthcare to one quarter of Melbourne's population across the entire life span from newborns and children, to adults, the elderly, and their families and carers.
Psychology and Specialist Services at Monash Health offers regular professional supervision, peer support, and the opportunity for career development to all of our 180 psychologists. We established Australia's first Psychology Registrar and Graduate Education Program to support our early career psychologists and to support senior psychologists to maintain PsyBA supervisor status. Additional benefits include salary packaging, five weeks annual leave (pro rata) and paid professional development leave.
Monash Health Mental Health program has strengthened our front end services. This increased capacity means shorter wait times to access treatment for people seeking help, continuity of care and improved therapeutic effectiveness
At Agile Psychological Medicine Clinics (aPM) we believe our community should have access to therapeutic care at their first interaction with our mental health services
By partnering with our triage and emergency points of contact, aPM offers people access to personalised therapeutic interventions at the time that they are seeking help
To deliver this we need smart and experienced psychologists with clinical and/or forensic endorsement and board approval as a supervisor (or being willing and able to undertake suitable training)
Our clients have a range of backgrounds, presenting issues and therapy goals and you will need to employ a flexible therapeutic approach to obtain maximum benefit for each client. Client and therapist rated outcome measures (feedback-informed-treatment) are routinely used and these consistently demonstrate improvement, even after just a few treatment sessions
Monash Health recognises the value of equal employment opportunity and is committed to patient safety and promoting fairness, equity and diversity in the workplace. At Monash Health we are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and work to our six guiding principles.
Applications will only be accepted via the Monash Health online Mercury System only. Email applications will not be considered.
