About Us

Kingston Centre, located in Cheltenham, is a stand-alone subacute site within Victoria’s largest public health service, Monash Health. Onsite we have a purpose built rehabilitation centre which encompasses a large onsite gym, pool and kitchen amenities for our consumers.

GEM @ Kingston Centre is comprised of 4 wards who provide specialist assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex and multi-dimensional needs including medical, functional, and often cognitive conditions. The GEM Units are dedicated to delivering patient care in line with our iCare values and ensure that all patients are treated with dignity and respect while in our care.

Rehabilitation @ Kingston Centre is comprised of 3 Units (South 4, North West 1 and North West 2), of whom specialise in a range of services including, but not limited to, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Movement Disorders, post Stroke Rehabilitation, MS, Spinal Cord Injuries and post craniotomy rehabilitation and wide range of other neurological conditions. At Kingston, we promote and encourage our nursing staff to expand

Kingston delivers care across the inpatient, subacute and community setting and is a key pillar of the Monash Health strategy to provide timely care close to home. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses looking to excel their Career and grow their clinical knowledge. Kingston Centre has an abundance of learning and leadership opportunities waiting to be explored!

Showcase your Leadership potential! Our Registered Nurses have the unique opportunity to work towards undertaking Team Leader shifts. For Nurses with an interest in Leadership, they are given the opportunity to supervise other members of the team and to develop your leadership skills in a structured and supportive environment with pathways and education available to make your Leadership goals a reality.

With Monash Health being a member of ARNA (Australasian Rehabilitation Nursing Association) this open the doors to further study with fully supported scholarships.

We are currently piloting a program for our Registered Nurses to gain experience working in specialist areas across Kingston Site including but not limited to: Monash at Home - Aged & Rehab Care, Community Rehabilitation, GEM and ward based Rehabilitation. This Program would involve a 12 month rotational position whereas you would rotate between 3 of the above areas, gaining valuable experience along the way with permanent employment at the conclusion of the Program. We also have ongoing positions with both Full Time and Part Time opportunities available.

What you Bring

  • Enthusiasm, compassion & ability to work collaboratively! As an experienced Registered Nurse you will understand the Clinical requirements of the role however your enthusiasm for ongoing learning and education will make you a stand out!
  • Understanding the importance of patient centred care, you have experience as a Registered Nurse and have a genuine interest in working and interacting with our diverse patients.
  • Of course you will hold a current AHPRA registration and employee level working with Children’s Check teamed with Australian working rights.
