We are seeking a talented Senior Podiatrist to join the High Risk Foot service within Monash Health. If you are ready for your next challenge, now is a great time to join us. We are a well networked team of 20+ Podiatrists with a strong emphasis on growth, support and excellence.

This unique opportunity will see you based predominantly at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, providing expertise and clinical leadership across Monash Medical Centre, Kingston, Victorian Heart Hospital & Moorabbin Hospitals. We are a close knit, collaborative service and you will be an integral member of our Podiatry Senior Leadership Team influencing and enhancing all sites within the department. A Day in the Life

Lead and inspire within a distinguished NADC High Risk Foot Service Centre of Excellence, providing quality care to inpatients as well as our outpatient clinics. You will lead Podiatric services across Monash Medical Centre, Kingston, Victorian Heart Hospital & Moorabbin Hospitals, bringing your knowledge and clinical expertise as well as fostering a culture of cohesiveness and excellence. You will work closely with Vascular, Orthopaedics, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Hospital in the Home as well as the wider medical and nursing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to your strategic vision and clinical expertise to help shape the future of Podiatric care across Monash Health.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives as a leader, is a team player who enjoys fostering a positive team culture of growth. In this respected, Senior position, you will:

  • Plan and deliver specialist wound management services in line with evidence based practices
  • Support other Senior Clinicians in the High Risk Foot service
  • Provide support and leadership to junior staff, including mentoring, supervision and annual performance appraisals.
  • Foster strong relationships with Medical, Nursing and Allied Health to optimise care for clients
  • Empower the Podiatrists to drive research and impactful quality improvement projects
  • Facilitate competency based training to upskill Podiatrists
  • Coordinate projects across the network
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to foster a positive team culture that thrives on growth, learning and support

About you:

  • You have demonstrated experienced in the delivery of clinical education and clinical supervision
  • You enjoy developing others, are highly organised and a clear and warm communicator.
  • You lead by example, thrive in a fast paced acute environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based Podiatric interventions
  • You have proven leadership experience that fosters a culture teamwork and continuous learning and development

What you need:

  • Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) or recognised equivalent degree qualification
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Doctor of Philosophy or Masters qualification relevant to clinical Podiatry (desirable)
  • Eligible for membership of the Australian Podiatry Association/Advanced Practicing Podiatrist Group, including involvement in Special Interest Groups (desirable)
