About The Role

We are excited to announce an ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) Recovery Nurse position with the Mental Health Program at:

  • Monash Medical Centre, Clayton
  • Kingston Centre

This position will work closely with the Monash Medical Centre and Kingston ECT Coordinator to ensure the provision of safe and effective ECT treatment and care as well as to assist with the efficient management of ECT service delivery within the mental health program. The ECT Recovery Nurse will also play an integral role in supporting patients receiving ECT treatment and their carers through their ECT recovery journey.

This is a part-time ongoing role, working across the Monash Medical Centre and Kingston Centre ECT Suites.

About You

You are a Registered Nurse who has an interest in the specialist area of Neurostimulation, in particular ECT, and you have been developing your post anaesthetics recovery skills and you are ready to take this next step in your mental health nursing career. If you thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, then this maybe the role for you.

What You Need:

  • Relevant Qualification - Registered Nurse with a post graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated experience (aligned to position description noting no reference to years of experience)
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Australian working rights
