We are seeking Direct Care Workers to join our Community Support Options Team at Monash Health.

Our in-house Direct Care Workforce continues to expand in order to support older people to continue living at home. We welcome passionate and motivated applicants with excellent communication skills to apply. The role requires travel across the Casey Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Bayside communities. The service provision involves:

  • Personal Care: assisting people with personal care needs
  • Respite: providing carers with a break from their caring role
  • Home Care: general house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Transport: Taking clients to appointments and shopping

This is a permanent part time position (up to 60 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday, day shifts only.

About You:

You are a suitably qualified and experienced Health Care Worker:

  • dedicated to safe best practice & quality care
  • committed to delivering consumer centred care & consumer advocacy
  • enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively
  • excellent at communicating with people
  • excited to contribute to quality initiatives in our relentless pursuit of excellence

What You Need:

  • Relevant Qualification - Certificate III ageing or Disability Support or equivalent
  • Current level 2 First Aid certificate
  • Current unrestricted drivers license
  • Demonstrated experience in Aged Care Community sector is desirable but not essential; as we will train you
  • Must have own vehicle including fully comprehensive vehicle insurance and road worthy certificate. Annual vehicle servicing history required thereafter
  • Well developed time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and autonomous capacity
