Monash Health Emergency Department Care Coordinators are an integral part of the dynamic multi-disciplinary team providing care across our three Emergency Departments at Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. As a valuable member of a wider team, we are committed to working with you to become your professional best. About the Role

Are you looking to change work areas and lead an Interdisciplinary team working in Monash Health's fast paced Emergency Departments?

If so, then a fantastic job share opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Allied Health professional (Grade 3 Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) to join the Emergency Department Care Coordination teams working within the 3 Monash Health Emergency Departments – Clayton, Dandenong and Casey (Berwick) as their Team Leader. This role is a fixed term, part time role working 0.8EFT (60.8 hours per fortnight) and you will be required to work at least one weekend day per week.

What You Bring

As a Grade 3 Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, you will possess a strong patient-centred focus, well developed leadership and communication skills and bring a range of clinical experience. We are seeking applicants with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude. The ability to work autonomously is essential as is experience working in acute healthcare and Emergency Department.

  • You will bring proven team leadership skills and expert discharge planning knowledge.
  • You are passionate about providing a consistently high level of patient care and have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong patient-centred focus.

What you need:

  • Undergraduate Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working within an Emergency Department.
  • A relevant post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.
