Mornington Island is the largest and most northern of the 22 Wellesley Islands in the Gulf of Carpentaria and is home to around 1,200 people.
Mission Australia provides three community services on Mornington Island, Queensland. One of them is the Safe Haven.
Safe Haven responds to the needs of children, young people and families who are experiencing domestic violence. Safe Haven also provides coordination and community capacity building to assist with the provision of case management, youth services education and prevention of domestic violence programs.
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead Mission Australia’s Safe Haven program on Mornington Island.
This role will suit a determined and committed person who possesses experience and resilience. Someone who is at the stage of their working life where a 3 year term to deliver a great program is in line with their career aspiration and capabilities.
As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National criminal history check. In addition there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check (Blue Card) or apply if you do not already hold one.
