Your Opportunity

To assist parents in gaining sustainable employment and/or education through helping them overcome their vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. Additionally, the role provides relief support to other Mission Australia (MA) sites across the region as required.

Your key responsibilities will to:

  • Determine existing barriers to employment
  • Develop activates that will assist with training or employment
  • Develop relationships with all stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
  • Contribute to the effective development of the program through involvement of interagency meetings and forums
  • Assist participants in achieving the goals of their ongoing participant plans

Requirements for Success

  • Experience in Family Services, Jobactive Services or case management is desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in community services, employment services, career counselling, health, or related field is advantageous.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable people.
  • Experience in administration.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office packages and other operating systems.
  • Flexibility to travel across a region as required.
  • A current Driver’s License.

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check if you haven’t completed one in the last 12 months.

In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one. It is unlawful for prohibited persons to apply for work with children, and, as such, prohibited persons cannot apply for this role.
