Your Opportunity:

Annie Green Court provides accommodation and quality care to 72 residents who have experience or are at risk of homelessness. This is a challenging, yet rewarding role as many of these residents have challenging behaviours and/or mental illnesses.

We are seeking a passionate Personal Care Assistant who is experienced in aged care and working with clients with challenging behaviours and/or a mental illness. 

The shifts available are Saturday - Wednesday, 6.30am - 3pm. Weekend penalty rates apply.

Your main our responsibilities will be, but are not limited to: 

• Provide personal care to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Administer medication to residents from Webster packs
• Document in progress notes
• Observe the condition/health/wellbeing of residents, reporting any concerns to the RN/CNS

Position Requirements:

• Be able to work independently and also be able to work in a team
• Have previous experience working with clients with challenging behaviours and/or mental health issues
• Have previous experience in a similar position
• Hold a Certificate IV in Aged Care or higher
• A certificate in Mental Health would be high regarded but is not essential
• Be an Australian permanent resident

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National criminal history check. Applicants must have full Australian work rights and be able to meet the work requirements of the position.
