Mind has successfully tendered to deliver the following newly created services for Queensland Mental Health Services:

  • Individual Recovery Support Program (IRSP) is a mobile outreach service that provides a person centred approach to recovery which is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Group Based Peer Recovery Support Program (GBRSP) provides clients with access to formal structured and informal groups and activities through the Mind Recovery College.

About the role

The Service Manager provides operational leadership and governance for the new community and group services – IRSP and GBRSP. The role is accountable for a high standard of service delivery to clients across the mental health continuum of care within the community and recovery services, the achievement of service performance and budget targets and managing the programs in line with approved systems, policies and procedures.

The role develops and supports partnerships with a number of key stakeholders including local providers, community members and is a key partnership liaison with clinical partners. Supported by the General Manager – Mental Health Services North Queensland this is a great opportunity to lead new services and build a new team.

Skills & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
  • Requires registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Clinical experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills in the Mental Health, Adult, or Community Services sector with experience delivering quality customer service
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a budget and meeting KPI’s
