About the role

Mind’s Fee For Service (FFS) program operates within the local community providing recovery focused mental health services and wellbeing. The program ensures that customers, families and carers have the support and services they need to achieve their goals which reflect Mind’s Model of Recovery.

We are seeking self-motivated, compassionate independent contractors to work full time or part time as Support Coordinators with opportunities to work remotely across regional Victoria. You will be responsible for providing phone-based NDIS support coordination services to our clients with some additional face-to-face work. Utilising experience in mental health you will empower individuals to identify goals and create community linkages whilst building capacity and promoting choice and control.

Key responsibilities

  • Support clients by delivering quality services and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring service delivery needs and wants are being met by external service providers.
  • Deliver person-centred, timely support coordination services consistent with the defined goals and aspirations identified in NDIS plans.
  • Utilise a strengths based, recovery-orientated approach to develop client’s skills and capacity.
  • Collaborate with a range of services, families and carers, and the community to ensure a co-ordinated and integrated response to client’s recovery goals.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
  • Must be a registered Incorporated Entity that has an ACN and ABN and possess suitable Public Liability insurance.
  • Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers
  • Demonstrated ability to implement recovery-oriented frameworks, manage a growing client base, and build strong relationships with service providers, agencies and key stakeholders.
  • Capability to operate autonomously, able to deliver services in line with an established scope of work and have some experience working within a FFS model.
