About the role

Mind is seeking casual staff for our Youth Residential Service (Wannki Gunyah) located in Traralgon. Wannik Gunay is a structured, but flexible, 12 month residential psychosocial recovery service for young people aged 16 – 24 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.

Duties include;

• developing rapport and trusting relationships with clients to encourage them to be active participants in their household and their communities
• working in partnership with clinical services and other key stake holders
• assisting clients to build networks and support aimed to enrich their quality of life

Skills & experience

• tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
• the ability and willingness to travel to different services, occasionally at short notice
• experience working within the area of mental health and/or disability
• the ability to adapt to changing priorities flexibly and proactively
