The Company

Founded in 2014, FightMND was established with the purpose of finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

What FightMND has done since 2014 is be the voice, and the guiding star for Australians who want to fight ‘The Beast’. The horrible and debilitating disease gradually takes away the patient’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately their ability to breathe…all in an average timeframe of just 27 months.

The Role

Through continued growth, FightMND is now looking for an Individual Giving Specialist. Reporting into the General Manager - Fundraising, the role will support the wider team in developing and delivering fundraising campaigns in line with the newly developed fundraising strategy. The role will be responsible for running a portfolio of fundraising projects that includes both one-off cash and regular giving.

The Individual Giving Specialist will lead the development of a new multi-channel regular giving program, nurture external agency partnerships, manage fundraising budgets and leverage data to produce campaign reports. The role will play a critical part to the business's overarching growth agenda so, strong stakeholder skills are a must!

Skills & Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in a fundraising role, or a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Partnerships, Public Relations, or Project Management.
  • Experience delivering fundraising campaigns within an agreed timeframe and budget
  • Possess an understanding of the not-for-profit landscape and industry best practice in individual giving
  • Proficient use of a CRM, preferably in a fundraising or marketing context (particularly Raiser’s Edge)
