The Role
As CEO you will offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital community resource, driving both growth and meaningful change in the mental health landscape.
You will:
- Strategically lead the DFCC, partnering with key stakeholders to expand our reach and enhance our impact.
- Lead dynamic fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and event management.
- Drive the centre's financial sustainability through innovative fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement.
- Oversee the development and implementation of high-impact services and programs, aligning with our mission to support mental health and well-being.
- Ensure robust governance and compliance, upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
- Engage with media, government, and industry stakeholders to represent and advance the DFCC's mission.
- Foster the professional growth of the DFCC team and maintain close alignment with the Frawley family's vision, cultivating a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration for shared goals.
- Lead a respected centre dedicated to a critical cause, directly impacting community well-being.
- Collaborate with the DFCC Board to develop and implement strategic plans, performance and challenges.
- Maintain DGR1 (Mental Health promotions) status compliance.
- Skills and Experience
You will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Masters degree preferred).
- Experience in successful government grants, fundraising and donor relations.
- Minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience in the non-profit sector.
- A profound commitment to impacting mental health, supported by significant non- profit leadership experience.
- Expertise in financial and strategic planning, particularly within a start-up or scale- up environment with financial management skills, including budget development and oversight.
- A background in or understanding of professional sports for strategic partnership development.
- Exceptional leadership skills, emphasising mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and navigating government grants.
- A personal connection to the mission and values of the DFCC.
