About the role ...

We are looking for an experienced EEN who thrives on providing quality individualised care and fostering a safe environment for Elders, Staff and visitors. The successful candidate will form part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and support best practice clinical and holistic care for our Elders. Strong communication skills are essential as is the ability to thrive in an autonomous environment while also remaining an active team member.

Permanent part time and casual positions available (AM, PM and Night duty - lots of shifts!)

About you ...

You will have strong communication skills with a flexible, caring, patient attitude and collaborative approach in your practice as an Enrolled Nurse.

Qualifications:

• Current AHPRA Division 2 Registration
• Demonstrated ongoing education and personal development

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of NMBA Nursing Practice Standards for Enrolled Nurses
• Demonstrated ability in clinical assessment, care planning and evaluation of care
• The ability to work proactively with frail and/or confused elders and their families
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles
• An understanding of the standards for Residential Aged Care Services
• An understanding of the required documentation for Aged Care funding
• An understanding of the legislative requirements of nursing practice in relation to the National Quality Indicator framework
• To work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to exceed Elders expectations
• A willingness to improve clinical theory and clinical practice in complex care such as, and not limited to wound management and catheterisation.
• Conduct nursing practice in a way that can be ethically justified

A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.

A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.
