Meruka Child Care Co-operative

We are looking to employ an exceptional Full Time, Early Childhood Teacher to work in our 3-4-year-old room, and a Part Time (minimum 24 hours) Early Childhood Teacher to work in our 4-Year-Old Kinder room and cover some program planning time.
Our Integrated 3-year-old Kinder room has 22 children each day and our 4-year-old Kinder Room has 10 children everyday.

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a Bachelor Qualification in Early Childhood Education (recognised by ACECQA)
  • Provisional or Fully Registered VIT
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid. Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
  • Child Protection training and sound knowledge of Child Safe Standards
  • A passion for working with children
  • Experience in developing and implementing the educational program and achieving quality learning outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A sound knowledge of the VEYLF, EYLF and NQF
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing a program of education and care based on strengths, skills and interests of the children which will evolve from observations, feedback from parents, the inclusion of the broader community and other written records. Program must follow VEYLF, EYLF
  • Lead staff in the Kindergarten room to ensure there is a collaborative delivery of care and education
  • Guide the flow of routines to ensure smooth transitions and overall supervision of all children in the room is maintained.
  • An ability to build and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Provide a safe, sustainable, and inclusive environment for all children
