The position

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will spearhead cyber security planning, engineering and incident management, safeguarding its systems from potential threats. You will take charge in securing the Agency’s national digital health infrastructure, including the operational and strategic risks associated with cyber vulnerabilities and the designated functions of the My Health Record System. With your leadership and expertise, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that cyber security requirements are seamlessly integrated into the design and implementation of all Agency systems and products.

About you

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

• Dynamic leadership, enriched with experience in handling complex cyber capabilities and capable of translating complex information to a wide audience;
• Capability to cultivate influential relationships with senior leadership, government bodies and healthcare providers across the digital spectrum;
• High attention to detail, demonstrating an action-oriented approach in meeting tight deadlines within complex and ambiguous environments;
• Technical acumen where you can translate government priorities into practical cyber programs, demonstrating innovation in applying technology solutions to complex challenges;
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, influencing stakeholders at all levels; and
• Tertiary qualifications in information technology or equivalent and formal qualifications in Cyber Security highly preferred.

Eligibility

• Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility
• Ability to obtain and maintain national police check
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a level designated by the Agency on request

This role can be based in the Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra office with highly flexible working conditions.

The salary for this role is $234,180 to $285,491 (including 15.4% superannuation).
