ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Donor Relations & Events Coordinator is responsible for creating and ensuring outstanding donor stewardship for the Mercy Health Foundation community. This includes producing opportunities and events which connect donors to Mercy clinicians and researchers and managing the donor stewardship program.
The Donor Relations & Events Coordinator will often be the first point of contact for Mercy Health Foundation’s donors and plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong donor relationships. The role is responsible for ensuring all donors receive welcome packs, thank you letters, phone calls and for finding opportunities to connect with Mercy Health clinicians, researchers, executives and board directors.
This is an exciting role that would suit a highly motivated people person, looking to make an impact, helping Mercy Health Foundation to achieve ambitious targets.
- This is a permanent part-time (0.8) position based at Mercy Health's Support Services office in Richmond
- With support from the Head of Fundraising & Communications, operationalise and coordinate Mercy Health Foundation’s donor welcome and retention journeys.
- Ensure that new prospects receive welcome packs/emails and that all new donors receive welcome packs. Coordinate phone calls to ensure each donor receives a thank you call from a Foundation representative.
- In collaboration with the Foundation team, plan, coordinate and deliver a range of events which engage donors and connect them to the work of Mercy Health. This may include breakfast briefings with clinicians, lunches with the Group CEO or tours of Mercy Health facilities, which support a range of philanthropic and fundraising outcomes.
- Support the Head of Fundraising & Communications on initiatives such as regular giving, payroll giving and mid-level donor programs.
ABOUT YOU:
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a fundraising or events coordination role.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating purposeful events to budget.
- Strong written communications skills.
