Welcome to MacDonnell Regional Council. We are located in the centre of Australia - the region has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.

This position is located in Mt Liebig (Watiyawanu), which is 325km West of Alice Springs. Mt Liebig forms part of the Luritja Pintubi Ward of MacDonnell Regional Council and the majority of its 156 residents identify themselves as Luritja.

As the Youth Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for delivering Youth Program towards young people aged 5-12 years and 12-25 years old, engagement with youth at risk, including the supervision of individual case management to Youth Services clients.

Our successful candidate will ideally hold Cert IV in youth, Sports and Recreation, Community Development or equivalent experience. Considerable experience in youth-specific programming, data collection and producing reports, participating in the performance management process.
