We're looking for empathetic and experienced General Practitioners to join us in providing safe and accessible reproductive healthcare, including medical abortion and contraception. If that's something you're passionate about, we'd love to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who has some experience working in women's health, but who is eager to learn more about sexual and reproductive health. We provide you with in clinic training so previous experience within this environment is desired but not essential.

Marie Stopes Australia is the only national accredited provider of abortion, contraception and vasectomy services, and the country’s longest running provider of teleabortion. Our holistic, client-centred approach empowers individuals to control their reproductive health safely, and with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. Through active partnerships with healthcare providers, researchers and communities, our models of care ensure the total wellbeing of our clients is supported at every stage.

Your purpose

Deliver high quality, safe and empathetic medical care in line with best practice and internal policies, procedure and protocols.

What we need:

• A Pro-choice advocate
• AHPRA registration
• Certified MS-2 Step prescriber (easily completed online)
• Experience in women’s health / contraception
• Unrestricted provider number
• Ability to work in dynamic day surgery environments
• A strong patient centred care advocate
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional empathy
• High clinical standards (we are fully accredited)
• Willingness to learn with a non-judgemental attitude

What we'd like to see (but aren't essential):

• Experience in provision of MTOP
• Skilled inserter of Implanon / IUD
• DRANZCOG / FPAA certificate welcomed but not essential
• Workplace flexibility – hours and location
