Médecins Sans Frontières Australia is one of 25 sections of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) committed to delivering medical-humanitarian aid to populations in crisis in more than 70 countries. Reporting to the Executive Director this leadership role will design and direct the engagement strategies across both the Communications and income-generation platforms of Fundraising and Digital Marketing for Médecins Sans Frontières Australia and MSF New Zealand.
With oversight of the public positioning of MSFA on key international and national issues within Australia and New Zealand civil society you will direct external communications ensuring a clear and compelling narrative. In collaboration with the Information Technology and Transformation teams, and external agencies, you will manage digital strategy and engagement to develop and maintain strong donor support for our medical humanitarian work, and a contemporary tech stack to support growth. You will oversee internal communications for the organisation, playing a key role in our achievement of associative and staff engagement KPIs. In close collaboration with Finance, you will run a data informed team, providing financial management for this $100,000,000 per annum program.
Above all, this highly visible and influential role will be responsible for inspiring a large and successful team through an exciting period of transformation as MSF Australia continues its strategic shift from a broadcast approach to an audience engagement strategy.
As a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide input on organisational policy, positioning and management issues and will be central to influencing a positive culture of innovation and accountability in the Sydney office.
To be successful in this crucial role you will be known for your track record of making data-informed decisions and knowledge of best practice in digital engagement and marketing. You’ll enjoy acting as a spokesperson on complex and challenging medical issues and will be motivated by being part of a humanitarian aid organisation.
