Macedon Ranges Shire Council Youth Services works with young people aged between 12-25. The Youth Services Team provides evidence-based programs and initiatives aimed at providing young people with opportunities to participate, to live well, to have fun, connect and influence and shape life in the Macedon Ranges.

Programs, initiatives, advocacy and support for young people and their families is guided by a ten-year strategic plan known as Elevate! It is not your usual Council strategy; it was co-directed, co-developed and co-written by young people with assistance from Council’s Youth Services Unit.

The Coordinator Youth Services is responsible for delivering evidence-based best practice programming which interacts and engages with young people and their support systems. The position provides effective management and support to the Youth Services team, and provides strong leadership within Council and the community on issues impacting young people. This position is part of the operational leadership team at Council.
