We are seeking an experienced, positive and motivated Family and Community Services professional to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director Community Health (EDCH) this role will lead and manage the Family and Community Program team, defined resources, program objectives and professional practice standards within the community based programs. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role also has the opportunity to provide input and advocacy to drive change across the organisation.

This role will also develop strategies to promote and support effective and efficient interfaces between Family and Community Programs across Colac Area Health and external agencies.

Our committed and diverse team deliver a range of services to support our community safety and wellbeing including drug and alcohol, counselling, family violence and integrated family support services ensuring that these are responsive and best practice.

As our ideal candidate you: 

  • Are tertiary qualified (Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or similar) with Management experience
  • Are an experienced people focused leader with a strong record in leading and managing a diverse disciplinary team and managing and reporting on a range of funding streams
  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills and easily build respectful relationships and work collaboratively within your team, across the organisation and with external service providers
  • Have a growth mindset, value accountability of self and others and consistently model the behaviours you want to promote across the organisation
  • Are self-directed, well organised and will proactively explore and act upon opportunities to enhance program outcomes and drive service improvements
