We're currently searching for an enthusiastic and highly engaging Youth Engagement Officer to join our organisation!

Position objectives

The Youth Engagement Officer will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the implementation of Council’s Youth Engagement Services Strategy and its related programs and activities.
• Assisting with the implementation of a range of Youth Engagement Services programs in accordance with funding body requirements and Council Policy
• Assisting with the implementation of a range of information and promotional strategies to ensure that young people and the community in general are well informed about issues, activities, programs and events for young people and recognise the achievements of young people.

Qualifications and experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Qualifications or working towards a qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services or other relevant qualifications and /or experience in Youth Services sector
• Ability to develop and implement engaging youth-led activities and events
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence
• Current Working with Children’s Check, or the ability to obtain one
• A satisfactory Police Check, or the ability to obtain one
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates or the ability to obtain one.

Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $75,461.88 to $86,603.92 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
