Looking for a career opportunity where you can assist in driving innovative change in environmental sustainability? Come join Council’s Community Futures team in the temporary position of Energy & Water Innovation Officer.

Situated on the Murray River in North West Victoria and only a short flight away from three capital cities, Mildura Rural City Council is a growing and dynamic regional centre. Covering almost ten per cent of the State with a resident base across more than 22,000 square kilometres, Mildura Rural City Council is dedicated to ensuring we transition to a zero net emissions future.

Position Objectives

The officer will be responsible for:

• Initiating and managing innovative energy and water consumption and greenhouse emission reduction opportunities and projects.
• Providing project management support for a variety of projects for the Environmental Sustainability team.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Tertiary Qualifications in a related field of Engineering, Construction, Electrical or Environmental Engineering and relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in a related field such as Project Management, Water Management and/or Energy Auditing.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $84,297.20 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
