Are you a team player, able to work in partnership with other organisations and develop and deliver targeted programs and events for young people and their families?

We have a rewarding professional part time Community Engagement Worker role available, based at our headspace Mount Barker Office. The key purpose of this role is to promote headspace services in the community, to coordinate community awareness raising activities in the region, and seek to reduce stigma around mental health issues for young people. This position will also foster youth engagement with headspace and seek community feedback around service needs and gaps through the facilitation of a youth reference group and provision of psychosocial group programs.

To be successful in this position you will have experience implementing community-based programs preferably with young people. We are seeking someone with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience working with young people and in the mental health space would be an advantage and relevant qualifications in either of these areas would be desirable.
