About the role

We are a value based organisation and our values alignment is key to achieving success in the HR Graduate role. The HR Graduate will work closely with the HR team to provide Human Resources support across the organisation. The focus areas for this role include probity and ensuring staff changes are actioned in a timely way. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a range of HR functions including recruitment and training.

We are looking for someone who has excellent organisation skills and the ability to problem solve, plan own workload and meet deadlines with competing priorities. Someone who has strong focus on continuous improvement of HR processes.

Multicultural Development Australia (MDA Ltd.) is a leading Queensland multicultural organisation. We aim to grow multicultural values across our State and to empower newly arrived Queenslanders from diverse cultural and language backgrounds through advocacy, community development and a range of client services.

MDA currently has over 220 staff, 100 Cultural Support Workers and 200 volunteers.

What we need from you

  1. Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field
  2. Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy
  3. Ability to be flexible and work in the grey when required
  4. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to problem solve, plan own workload and meet deadlines with competing priorities
  5. Strong focus on continuous improvement of HR processes
  6. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate well in a cross cultural work environment
  7. Experience with and understanding of managing confidential information
  8. Possession of, or willingness and eligibility to obtain, a Police Clearance Check
