The purpose of the position is to contribute to social planning and community development by overseeing Manningham City Council’s (MCC) Live Well in Bulleen place making initiative and assisting with the implementation of the Healthy City Strategy, MCC Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. The role will also provide specialist advice and work with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver social outcomes for MCC and the Manningham community.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as health promotion, social planning, community development or related disciplines (or substantial experience in a similar role).
  • Demonstrated experience in community development and/or place management activity.
  • Proven skills and knowledge in social planning and social research.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and strategy development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, foster partnerships and encourage collaborative working arrangements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage a dynamic workload and operate effectively under pressure.
