Who you are

Sure, we're looking for an experienced and competent Community Development Officer but you'll also be a pro-active thinker with well-developed interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude who keeps the community at the heart of all they do.

However, more important than experience, we're looking for someone with the following characteristics:

  • You work strategically, use your initiative and are a critical thinker
  • You're a great relationship builder and love being out in the community listening to the needs of young people
  • You develop strong concepts and can follow through successfully on implementation
  • You're passionate about affecting positive change for the benefit of our community
  • You're a valuable team member with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and ever-changing priorities
  • You get excited when you can apply strengths-based community development practice and principles
