Little Wings is a leading not for profit organisation supporting NSW regional families and their seriously ill children by providing free and safe transportation to the Children’s Hospitals in Sydney and Newcastle and home again.

Little Wings as a charity flight service owner operator in the aviation industry meets or exceeds all of the CASA safety regulations. Little Wings also operates a fleet of modern Hyundai vehicles for the safe and comfortable return transfers from Bankstown airport or the metro airports to the Children's Hospitals. The Little Wings organisation relies upon their loyal core of volunteer pilots and drivers to deliver service excellence.

Our vision is for every child regardless of geographical location to receive rapid and easy access to specialised medical services.

Current Opportunity

As CEO reporting to the board your role is strategic and outcomes driven, and able to take the leadership role with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will help to develop the strategic plan, oversee day to day operations, maintain and develop quality services. You will take a lead position in regular liaison with corporates, government, the Children’s Hospital network, and other stakeholders.

This position demands demonstrated expertise and capability in leading a not for profit organisation. Additionally there is a key leadership role in sourcing long term sustainable income to support the organisation's strategic plan.

It will be important to demonstrate an ability to develop strategic connections and productive relationships primarily through increasing awareness in the community, and industry with a strong focus on regional NSW.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and motivate a professional service delivery organisation
• Lead the development of the three year strategic plan
• Expand and increase long term financial sustainability to support the future direction of Little Wings
• Represent Little Wings to the community , industry, sponsors and potential benefactors

To be successful in this role the following will be important:

• Successful leadership experience with a not for profit organisation
• Experience in leading an organisation through change and growth will be highly regarded
• A background of a successful working relationship with a Board of Directors, and experience in good governance and financial requirements.
• An enthusiastic and energetic management style, flexible with the ability to manage multiple routines
• A person of integrity, honesty and a genuine interest in the welfare of others
