JOB SUMMARY & DESCRIPTION

This role is for a disability support worker with Little Sparrow Group. As a disability support worker, you will support individuals living with ongoing psychosocial, emotional and practical support. You will help these individuals identify, work toward and reach their goals.

This is an outreach role. This means that you will independently support individuals in their homes as well as in the community. You will work collaboratively with the care team of an individual to ensure the best quality of support.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • You will need your own comprehensively insured car and have a full drivers license
  • You will need to have a minimum of a Certificate III and experience with complex care needs
  • You will need to have the ability to write case notes and do this articulately and concisely
  • You will need to have a nuanced and detailed understanding of Mental Health and the NDIS
  • Above everything else, you will need to have genuine care and compassion to want to help others.
  • You will have the ability to manage your own roster and work independently
  • Confidence using basic technology including email and your own phone for work purposes
  • First Aid
  • Police check
  • WWCC
  • NDIS worker screening check
